We would like to thank you very much for purchasing our gourmet coffees from the Coffee Warehouse over the last few months. Listed below are more “gourmet ideas” for you to enjoy over a great cup of coffee.
Coffee Cooking Rub
To celebrate International Gourmet Coffee Day, we here at the Coffee Warehouse now produce a range of coffee food rubs, to be used in cooking chicken, meat and vegetables.
We selected the single origin Colombian coffee as a great tasting base to be used in these preparations. Like red wine, coffee is acidic. Like any spice, coffee works best paired with other spices.
Adding coffee to a BBQ rub accentuates the flavours of the meat and when cooked, the grounds caramelise and make a sweet and savory crust that seals in the moisture of the meat. So now you can have your coffee and eat it to! Read more…
Miss Congo is a great gourmet coffee to celebrate
We would like share with you this amazing coffee which is grown in the area within the borders of the Virunga National Park, including the slopes of the Rwenzori Mountains and the uplands to the north-west of Lake Edward, which contains some of the finest Arabica coffee growing land in the world.
This coffee was originally marketed under the name of “Gorilla Coffee” as shown of the hessian coffee bags. This area is famous for the movie ‘Gorillas in the Mist’ and the coffee grown here has help developed programs for the study and conservation programs for these amazing creatures. Read more…

Things we like
The Laundromat (movie on Netflix)
This is a great movie to watch over coffee. I highly recommend watching this one. Watch the Netflix official trailer to see if it is something for you.
The Alchemist (book by Paulo Coelho)
I first read this book over 15 years ago and over the Christmas period I enjoyed the life lessons again from this book. I have given over 18 copies of this book away over the years, because I believe in getting a good story out there, not a coffee table book but one to be enjoyed over coffee.
Buy online at booktopia to celebrate the book’s 25th anniversary.
